Meyvenin yenen kısmı, etli ve bol usareli olan tohumlarıdır. Bir nar meyvesinde 600 civarında tohum bulunur. Tohumların renkleri beyazdan koyu kırmızıya doğru değişik renk tonlarına sahiptir.
Şeftali

Çeşitlerine göre Hazirandan Eylül ayına kadar olgunlaşan şeftali meyvelerinin pek çok çeşidi (Türkiye'de yaklaşık 64 çeşit) vardır.
Nektarin
